THE Family Learning Festival – a programme of free activities and events to inspire a love of learning in family life – will return next month, bigger and better than ever.
Activities to look forward to at the festival include; circus skills, pumpkin carving, dry clay decorating, truffle making, a family cookery session, the Young Melksham family fun day, the Melksham Remembers WW1 exhibition, martial arts, a hoop fit class and much, much more.
The festival will take place for two and a half weeks and will coincide with the October school half-term holiday.
Speaking at last week’s Melksham area board, Rhys Schell, Wiltshire Council’s Melksham community engagement manager said, “We had over 1,000 people attend last year’s festival, it was huge success, so naturally we are keen to repeat this. The festival will provide opportunities for families, parents and children to learn together.”
Details of times, dates and venues will be revealed soon. For further details contact Rhys Schell on rhys.s chell@wiltshire.gov.uk
