The Rock Project schools, run by local musician, Julian Pugsley, presented their very first rock show on Sunday 14th July at The Neeld in Chippenham.
Julian, from Melksham, set up The Rock Project schools in October 2018 for children aged seven to eighteen. Students performed their very first rock show in front of a capacity crowd and gave rousing renditions of rock and pop hits from across the decades including songs by AC/DC, Blondie, George Ezra, Taylor Swift and Snow Patrol.
Julian said, “I am so proud of what the students achieved at the end of year concert. They have put so much practice in over the past nine months and have managed to pull off something incredible. Most of the students who joined the Rock Project had no previous musical experience. It has been fantastic for me watching them develop as musicians and grow in confidence.”
Students can sign up with The Rock Project for the new term beginning in September by visiting www.therockproject.com or contacting Julian at chippenham@therockproject.com or on 07801 571616.
