Chippenham Male Voice Choir will return to Shaw for the final Live at Shaw concert of 2026 later this month.
The concert is on Saturday 21st November and will include uplifting classics such as Morte Christe alongside songs from Les Misérables and Chess and from the choir’s award-winning repertoire.
Earlier this year, the choir won the Taylor Cup for best male voice choir at the Cheltenham Festival of the Performing Arts which has been running for more than 100 years.
Dianne Briggs, one of the Live at Shaw organisers, said, “This is one of our favourite concerts, and we are delighted to be welcoming Chippenham Male Voice Choir back to Shaw.
“There really will be something for everyone in the programme, and the choir tells us they are very much looking forward to performing here again.”
The choir, which began life in 1940 as the Westinghouse Works choir, still retains links with Westinghouse, now Siemens. It has since grown into a group of men of all ages who sing for enjoyment and the challenge of performing, guided by an all-female musical team including new musical director Katie Millard.
Tickets cost £10 per person and are available in advance from Spindles in Whitley or can be reserved by emailing aswparish@gmail.com
