The Town Council are delighted to be supporting the Christmas Lights team with this year’s event.
Paul Weymouth and his team of volunteers have been working extremely hard to put together a great display of lights for the town and we would like to thank everyone involved for their hard work and dedication throughout the year to raise money and put together this fabulous event.
One of the biggest events in the town calendar will see hundreds of people flock to the Market Place to see the lights turned on at 5pm on 7th December, celebrated with a firework display. The festivities begin with the arrival of Santa and the opening of the Christmas Fayre from 2:00pm with lots of fantastic stalls supporting local crafts and good causes.
The Market Place itself will be transformed with a stage hosting a DJ and local band the Decibelles, lots of stalls and funfair rides. Following his arrival excited children will be able to meet Santa in his grotto from 3pm. This wonderful event is not to be missed and welcomes all generations to the spectacular lighting of the town.
