Once again Melksham flag makers are about to start making the flags for this coming summer.
From the group, Terri Welch said, “The flags we will be making are the ones for the Market Place. Following the very successful medieval flags, there will be a theme to work to.
“The first workshop will be on Saturday 4th January, this coming Saturday, as always we will meet in the Town Hall 1-3 pm.
“We have a core group but would welcome newcomers, people with design ideas, basic sewing skills and others to back them up. The group very much work together, bouncing ideas and tips between each other. Good plain sewers are needed as we have plans to make bunting for the town.
“A large amount of work goes into this project which is on show throughout the summer and helps make Melksham stand out as a town with a strong community.”
