A local red telephone box is to be adopted by the parish council for use for a community project.
The telephone box in Berryfield is to be taken out of service by BT.
Melksham Without Parish Council intends to consult local residents for ideas to transform the historic telephone box into an asset for the community.
Parish clerk, Teresa Strange, told Melksham News, “We already have a phone box in Whitley that is being used as a community library – so that could be an idea Berryfield residents might want to explore. But the idea is up for discussion and we will soon be asking residents for their own ideas.”
