A pink-themed fundraiser at a local nursery has raised £1,235 for a breast cancer charity that supported a colleague through her treatment.
Snapdragons Nursery in Atworth has held an annual fundraiser for Breast Cancer Now since 2020, after the charity supported pre-school colleague Charlotte during her breast cancer diagnosis.
Charlotte has since made a full recovery and continues to support others facing breast cancer.
This year’s event brought children, parents, staff and local businesses together for a sponsored toddle, cake sale and raffle.
Local businesses and parents donated prizes for the raffle, while the cake sale helped boost the total raised.
Charlotte said, “I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all who donated prizes for the raffle on Friday. With all your generous donations and money spent at the bake sale we made £1,235, which is absolutely incredible!
“Thank you to all the children, colleagues, parents and local businesses who made this such a wonderful day.”
