WILTSHIRE Sight is offering support and advice to people living with sight loss in Melksham.
Hosted at Melksham Library, the charity holds regular community teas, offering a chance for conversation, cake and support.
The next community tea will be held on Friday 14th February, 2pm to 4pm.
Community sight loss adviser, Alan Whetherly says, “We will have a guest speaker from the Macular Society talking to us about the disease. Age-related macular degeneration is the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK, so it will be interesting to get more information on this.”
The charity also hosts regular drop-in information sessions, giving people living with sight loss and the people around them, an opportunity to receive information and advice; discover new resources to help with daily living; and meet others with sight loss. The drop-in information sessions at Melksham Library are held on the second Tuesday of each month from 1-3pm.
