BROUGHTON Gifford couple, Valerie and Roy Sheppard, celebrated 60 years of marriage last week on Thursday 11th February.
Valerie and Roy’s son, Bryan Sheppard said, “Mum and dad got married at St Mary’s Church in Broughton Gifford back in 1961 and they still live in the village next to the church where they brought up my sister Tina and myself.
“Mum and dad celebrated their anniversary with a beautiful cake made by my niece and a lovely afternoon tea provided by SR Dining from Melksham, lots of flowers and even a card from the Queen.”
