WILTSHIRE Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision near Box which has left a Melksham man seriously injured.
The incident happened on the afternoon of Wednesday 19th February at approximately 3.57pm, when a two vehicle collision occurred on the A4 Bath Road at the junction with Shockerwick Lane between Box and Batheaston. The collision occurred between a blue Ford Transit Van and a black Yamaha motorcycle both of which were travelling south towards Batheaston.
The motorcyclist, a 25 year old male from Melksham, is believed to have suffered serious spinal and arm injuries and was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or events immediately prior to the collision, should contact PC David Williams of the Serious Collision Investigation Team at Wiltshire Police.
