LIVE music events are back at the Assembly Hall, with something for all tastes in a much-anticipated autumn programme.

The first post-lockdown event took place last month with the popular band, The Unravelling Wilburys.

The next show set to light up Melksham’s stage is ‘ELO Beatles Beyond present The Lynne & McCartney Story’ – a night of the greatest hits of ELO, Paul McCartney, Wings and The Beatles, which will be held on Saturday 18th September.

Fronted by top Jeff Lynne and Paul McCartney lookalikes/soundalikes, the show will tell the story behind some of the greatest hits of all time, and how the careers of these two song-writing legends have crossed over the years.

On Saturday 16th October, the Female of the Species, a collaboration of West Country singers and musicians will take to the stage. The ‘famous five’ girls are back together for another evening of soul, rock and pop all for charity.

Everything Changes – on Friday 22nd October – will provide an opportunity to immerse yourself in the Take That and Robbie Williams spectacular and sing, dance and party all night long.

Completing the October line-up on Wednesday 29th is Through the Decades with Roy and Buddy, a two-hour rock ‘n’ roll extravaganza celebrating the songs and musical bond of Roy Orbison and Buddy Holly, as portrayed by Darren Paige and Marc Robinson.

Kicking off November with a bang is the legendary Beatones! Take a step back in time on November 19th, as this four-piece collective perform hits from some of Britain’s best loved acts- including The Kinks; Rolling Stones; The Who and of course The Beatles. Get ready to experience the 60’s all over again when The Beatones come to town.

Christmas comes early this year as Neil Sands returns for another festive spectacular on 23rd November. Majesty, the iconic Queen cover band returns to Melksham on the 26th November and is guaranteed to rock you.

A day later, on the 27th November Hometown Glory: a tribute to Adele is set to light up the stage. Voted the best Adele tribute two years running at the national Tribute Music Awards, Natalie Black AKA Hometown Glory is bringing her breath-taking act to the Assembly Hall.

On the 2nd December, experience the wonder with arguably the largest fan base in the country, as Through the Rain: A Celebration of Barry Manilow comes to town. Very few performers influence modern culture like the music of this man has, so come experience it for yourself.

Keeping December rocking this year, as Rock for Heroes returns with the sounds of Bowie, Bon Jovi, Prince, Guns ‘N’ Roses and more on 3rd December.

Ending the December events this year is the Christmas Ska Party on 11th December. A ska and reggae Christmas extravaganza to warm your Christmas cockles brought to you by Train to Skaville and DJ Smileee.

Don’t delay in booking your tickets now from Melksham Assembly Hall’s website or tel. 01225 704187.
