BALLROOM dancers returned to the dancefloor this month at the Melksham Conservative Club.

The event on 5th March, organised by local couple Sue and Bob Mortimer, raised £132 for Melksham-based charity, Wiltshire Mind.
“We welcomed back the ever popular Sharon Wilshire,” said Sue and Bob, “who has always played the music for us at our charity dances.
“This was the first dance held since before lockdown, over two years ago. It was great to see friends enjoying themselves after such a long time! This month’s charity was Wiltshire Mind and we raised £132. Thank you for all those that donated raffle prizes.
“Many thanks also to Karen for letting us use the Conservative Club. It is such a great venue – I would say the best social club in town!”
The next charity ballroom dance will be on Good Friday – Friday 15th April. Monies raised will go to Wiltshire Air Ambulance in memory of local woman Michelle Phillips who died following a road traffic accident in 2004.
