18 of Melksham’s gardeners kindly opened up their gardens for visitors from far and near to walk around and admire for the Melksham Open Gardens event on Sunday 24th of July.
“We must have had about 150 visitors and the majority enjoyed a cream tea and cake from Place Road before going home,” said Lesley Windebank, one of the organisers. “It was a very successful afternoon and raised £1,380 for The Children’s Society.
“Our grateful thanks go to all the gardeners, their visitors, the cake and scone bakers and the many willing and energetic volunteers.”
A lady’s navy cardigan was found in the garden at the end of the afternoon. Please contact Lesley on lesleywindebank@blueyonder.co.uk
