HALF term camps for young football players proved to be a big hit at the Future of Football club in Melksham.
The sessions at Bowerhill Playing Fields were packed full of football fun and gave children from 6 to 14 the chance to improve their skills.
“Our half term camps were a huge success this October,” said Luke Ballinger from the Future of Football.
“A big thank you to CMD Recruitment who generously donated to pay for 100 players this week. We believe every child that attended had a great time and we hope they would like to come again.
“A big thank you to Gourmet Brownie Kitchen as well for supplying the lunches.
Dan Barfoot, operations manager at CMD Recruitment who sponsored the sessions, said, “As a local recruitment company, our mission is to enrich our local community by supporting businesses and individuals within it. As such, each year we look at a way to give back to the community.
“After the recent success of the England’s women’s football team and with households struggling with the cost-of-living crisis, what a better way to give back than to work with another local business and offer children the opportunity to get involved in football?
“We initially offered 75 slots but due to demand we ended up with over 100 but honestly, this has been great to see. We have popped down daily delivering lunch and it’s truly been fantastic to see the children enjoying the experience ran by the excellent team at Future of Football.”
