BUGS and birds at Forest & Sandridge CE Primary School are living comfortably, thanks to the Melksham Men’s Shed members who made and donated bug hotels and bird boxes for the school’s eco-system.
Chairman Chris Pickett said, “A request came in from councillor Louisa Lewis for us to make and donate the bug hotels and bird boxes to the school. Six men’s shed members made these over six sessions and really enjoyed it.”
This is not the first time the Melksham Men’s Shed has supported the community with their handy creations. Chris said, “We have repaired existing seats and made new ones, we have been involved in projects and have helped with river clean ups too.”
