A LOCAL pub is holding a Remembrance Buffet on Remembrance Sunday with all proceeds going to the Melksham Royal British Legion.
The Market Tavern in the Market Place is having the buffet on Sunday 12th November from 9am, offering bacon or egg butties and tea and coffee from 9am.
“We will be providing a pit stop before the Remembrance Parade,” says landlord, Rob Carter. “Bacon or egg butties are £1, toast and butter or vegan spread at 50p (gluten free available) and coffee, tea or squash is 50p.
“100% of the proceeds will go directly into the Poppy Appeal and Melksham Royal British Legion. It’s a cause very close to our hearts. Last year we had a fantastic turnout and are hoping for similar support this year. We look forward to seeing you and having a cuppa or sanny while doing a bit of good!”
