A housing needs survey is shortly to be conducted in Atworth.
Mitch Roberts, parish clerk explained, “Our parish plan is currently being reviewed, by a steering group, who are engaging with stakeholders within the community and importantly, local residents.
“We are keen to see, as part of the process, that provision is made, to deliver a correct mix of new dwellings, sufficient to meet the needs of those living in, or with family ties to Atworth.
“The survey is professionally organised and managed, by Wiltshire Council’s Housing Strategy Team, assisted by Atworth Parish Council.
“Survey packs will be delivered to every home in the village, in the first week of October. A prepaid envelope will form part of the pack, so that the response can be popped into the nearest letter box, on completion.
“All responses must be posted back to Wiltshire Council by the end of October. There is also an option to complete the survey online, utilising the Wiltshire Council website.
“After the survey closing date, the Housing Strategy Team will produce a report for the Parish Council’s consideration. This report is then used to facilitate any suggested residential development, based upon local resident feedback.”
