Melksham’s award-winning gardeners have been recognised following this year’s Melksham Gardens competition.
The competition, organised by Melksham Town Council, received a wide variety of entries from individuals, schools, businesses and community groups across the town.
A panel of judges, including local councillors, residents and volunteers, toured each of the gardens and were impressed by the quality, creativity and dedication on display.
This year’s winners include Bryan and Veronica Sandford, who took first place for Best Front Garden, with Kerry Powell in second place, while Philip McMullen won Best Rear Garden and Kevin Bradley came second. Kim McCulloch claimed Best Courtyard or Paved Area, with Kevin Bradley and Nikki Rowe sharing second place, and Sue Moffet was awarded Best Environmental Garden, with Philip McMullen in second. Among external businesses and community premises, Gabe Elliott won first place and Sylvia Booth second. For Water Features, David Gray was awarded first place, with David Walker in second.
