The next films to be shown at the Melksham Monday Movies Club will be The Best of Men and Six Minutes to Midnight.
On 2nd February, The Best of Men will be shown, and is based on real events. In 1943, a refugee doctor from Nazi Germany uses new methods to rehabilitate those with spinal injuries in Great Britain. The film stars Rob Brydon, George Mackay, Bebe Sanders and Leigh Quinn.
On 16th February, Six Minutes to Midnight will be screened. In the UK, on 15th August 1939, 17 days before World War Two, an English teacher and his camera disappear from a coastal boarding school with 20 German teen girls. Miller gets the job six days later, secretly trying to find out what happened. The film stars Eddie Izzard, Judi Dench and Nigel Lindsay.
Both films will be screened at the Assembly Hall. Doors open at 1.30pm, with the film starting at 2pm.
There will be a break for tea or coffee and a chance to catch up with friends before the event finishes around 4pm. Admission is by donation, with a suggested amount of £5.
