A bowls club in Melksham is hosting an Open Day on Saturday 18th April to mark the start of a new season.
Everyone is welcome to the event at Spencer Melksham Bowls Club, Beanacre Road, whether you are new to bowls or returning to the sport.
The day will run from 10.30am to 1pm.
Club member Ann Hutchinson said, “Please come along and see what we have to offer, as well as enjoy coffee and cake. We have welcomed some new sponsors to support some of our projects for the season.”
The club recently received a £125 cheque from Co-op Travel Melksham’s Community Projects Fund, which will be used to help with the purchase of a scorers’ and markers’ training kit.
“Spencer Melksham Bowls Club is grateful to Co-op Travel for their generous donation, as this will help the club to host county games in the future by training people to enable them to officiate at bowls matches,” Ann added.
