On the evening of Remembrance Day the bell-ringers of Melksham rang a quarter peal of 1260 changes of Grandsire Triples in 51 minutes with the bells half muffled.
It was rung in memory of all those who have died in conflict; but especially at this time the 112 men of Melksham who died in World War One and are commemorated on our War Memorial and in the cemetery adjacent to St Michaels Church.
