Motorists whose vehicles were damaged during last week’s severe hailstorm are being offered free hail damage insurance assessments in Melksham.
The initiative is being organised by Nortree Motors at its Melksham site following the storm on 28th May which left a trail of damage across the town.
Residents reported hailstones the size of small rocks and close to golf balls battering homes, vehicles and other property during the early hours of the morning. The storm caused dents to cars, damaged conservatory roofs and smashed windows across the town.

Nortree has teamed up with a global hail damage repair specialist to provide assessments and repairs for affected vehicle owners. Nortree will also liaise directly with insurers to make the claims process as easy as possible.
The company says customers will receive a free hail damage assessment and written repair quotation, with repairs carried out locally in Melksham using Paintless Dent Removal (PDR) techniques where suitable. The process allows dents to be removed without repainting, helping to retain a vehicle’s original factory finish.
Dan Phillips from Nortree said, “Following the hailstorm, we know a number of local residents have been left with damage to their vehicles. By working with specialist hail repair technicians, we’re able to offer a straightforward assessment and repair service locally, helping motorists get their vehicles inspected and repaired as quickly as possible.
“It’s a fast, professional and hassle-free service and we have already filled up one day with appointments. Assessements and repairs are both carried out locally at our Melksham premises.
“Paintless Dent Removal allows hail damage dents to be removed while retaining your vehicle’s original factory paint finish, helping preserve the value and appearance of your vehicle.”
