A Melksham woman has been arrested on suspicion of supplying vapes contaminated with cannabis in Holt.
The woman, aged 25, was arrested on 18th June, following proactive policing by the Melksham and Bradford on Avon NPT, supported by colleagues from our Neighbourhood Tasking Team and Police Dog Merlin (pictured).
More than 600 vapes were seized along with a quantity of cocaine and ketamine.
The woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs, and has been released on conditional bail, pending further enquiries.
Police Sergeant Charly Chilton, Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant for Melksham and Bradford on Avon, said, “Like a lot of the team’s activity, this work was only possible using information provided to us and concerns raised by the local community.
“We take all information provided to us seriously and will do all we can to disrupt the supply of drugs in our community.
“Anyone with information about illegal drugs activity should report it to the police. You can do this online or by using the non-emergency 101 number. You should always call 999 in an emergency.
“Alternatively, you can pass information anonymously to the independent charity CrimeStoppers, 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year on 0800 555 111 or you can use their non-traceable online form”.
