To celebrate the centenary of the National Federation of Women’s Institutes, Shaw and Whitley WI will be holding a special afternoon at Shaw Village Hall on Thursday 6th August, from 1.30 – 4.30pm.
A group, calling themselves ‘Crinoline’, will dress in outfits worn in Bath at the turn of the nineteenth century. The clothes are accurate copies of original museum objects and their construction and purpose will be described in detail.
The demonstration will be followed by afternoon tea. Everyone welcome, tickets £6.00 each are available at Smith’s Stores in Whitley or telephone 01225 705806 or 01225 702921.
