BELLE of the Ball Bridals has won Melksham’s Christmas Shop Window Display Competition.
Owner Annabel Devlin from Belle of the Ball Bridals said, “I started planning what I was going to do since last Christmas and it took me about six hours to finally put it altogether in the window. A lot of effort went into it, so I’m very pleased I won.’
King Street Curios came second and Samovar came third. Clarkies, Kingstons and Critters Pet Care were awarded ‘Highly Commended.’
Mayor Terri Welch said, “I was so impressed with the Christmas shop windows this year. Although these were the winners in the Christmas window display competition, overall, businesses have worked hard on their shop window displays. Their creativity and use of lights and other Christmas themes has helped to add to our festive season. Going through town at night whether driving or walking, it is a joy to see the shop windows echoing the wonderful Christmas light display.”
