CHILDREN at Broughton Gifford Pre-School got hands on with history this month when they made the Guy for the village’s popular bonfire night.
The children made the Guy as part of an autumn topic, and donated it to be burnt on the giant bonfire and fireworks display on 8th November.
Pre-school manager Bev Grylls said, “The pre-school used to do this years ago but got out of the habit; we wanted to get involved again and do our bit for the village. The children absolutely loved making it and they learnt all about the Gunpowder Plot while doing it.”
