MELKSHAM Assembly Hall will keep showing live broadcasts when its equipment is fixed and has apologised to those who missed out at recent cancellations.
Screenings of the World Cup ‘66 celebrations at Wembley and composer Andre Rieu’s Maastricht concert had to be cancelled last month because the Assembly Hall’s satellite dish had broken.
Staff have confirmed that when the dish is fixed they will continue to offer live broadcasts.
Manager Tim Cross said, “I was very disappointed to have to cancel both satellite transmissions due to our dish being wind and weather damaged during the spring.
“We are looking to get it repaired as soon as possible so that we can get back to providing the comprehensive range of events the people of Melksham are used to.”
