Leadership Martial Arts in Melksham and Calne’s, Jack Butler, will be having his head shaved on Saturday 28th April in aid of ‘Doing it for Dan’.
The charity supports and encourages young people to take part in sport. It was set up in memory of 11-year-old Daniel Climance, who was tragically killed in 2015, when he collided with a road sweeper whilst out riding his bike.
During the martial arts group’s black belt presentation on Saturday 28th April, Jack Butler will be taking on a big challenge, shaving off his hair, to help support and raise money for the charity.
Jack said, “I decided I wanted to raise money this year, but believe it should require me to be challenged. Many know me to have a head full of hair, it’s part of me as a person and that’s why I decided shaving my head would be a big challenge for me as many will know. This is why I hope that if I can sacrifice all of my hair, people will think how far are they willing to go to support charity and give as much as they wish!
“I chose to do it for ‘Doing It For Dan’ due to having genuine support for what the charity does and because of Dan’s love for martial arts which I share.”
