With 10 teams contesting the various leagues and friendly fixtures, the rink was in constant use. Having to contend with the extremely dry summer, it was not an easy job for the greens team who had to work hard to keep the playing surface as pristine as possible.
The Ladies teams had a strong season winning the Bowls Wiltshire Triples B Division; securing promotion for the 2026 season. The Ladies Panthers team won the Norwest Triples Division 2, and the Jaguars team showed a lot of resilience to secure the two points needed to stay in Division 1.
2025 was the first time we entered the Mixed Triples League, played on a Saturday morning. It gave us the opportunity to play new teams, many based in Swindon. The club finished mid table but were only six points from finishing in third place.
The Lions team made a good start to life in the Premier League of the Open Triples League with the Tigers team comfortably mid table of their league.
At county level, Spencer secured a spot in the final of the Mixed Double Rink and were crowned County Champions at Devizes with a win against Amesbury and Liam Tucker was runner-up in the County U25 Pairs.
Once again, the club competitions were well supported, with two new competitions to play for: Aussie Pairs, won by Liam Tucker and Chris Stinchcombe, and an Open Singles competition, won by Claire Edwards.
Congratulations and good luck to Claire Edwards and Alan George, our Club Champions who will go on to represent us in the 2026 Champion of Champions competitions.
