TOP international Abba tribute band ‘Arrival UK’ headline this year’s Party in the Park on Saturday 12th July, in what will be a 40th anniversary celebration of ABBA (1974 – 2014) and the band’s Eurovision winning song Waterloo!
The band, who have travelled over the world with their Abba tribute, will pack in 90 minutes of all that is best of Abba. Regarded as the very best of all Abba tribute shows, this band pack a punch with a fantastic live show. Arrival UK have been performing across the globe on both stage and TV since 1995 in 20 different countries and in front of millions of Abba fans.
Tom Sangster of PITP said, “We just couldn’t resist having an Abba show return to PITP. The last time, five years ago, was one of best nights of PITP and now we will have the very best Abba tribute show on the planet for our 15th anniversary!”
“Simply the best Abba show I have seen bar none” – Mark Ritchie, The Stage. “Brilliant, one of the best shows I’ve ever seen” – Des Lynam. “Very very good” – Lorraine Kelly, GMTV. “Really fab!” – Claudia Winkleman, BBC TV’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
Tom continued, “Also confirmed is the biggest entertainer in the world, Titan The Robot, returns to this year’s Party in the Park. Regarded as Cornwall’s biggest export since the Cornish Pasty, the hugely popular attraction will be parading his singing and talking skills in the arena during the afternoon at King George V Playing Field.
“The sensational metallic hulk is somewhat of a law to himself with his domineering persona. He just can’t help himself as he loves to shout over the top of everybody and tries to sing like Frank Sinatra and others, it has to be said without much success! After all, have you heard a robot sing? It’s a bit like expecting a Dr Who Dalek to sing!
“He is, though, pretty harmless and a big favourite at shows loved by children and adults alike.
“Unfortunately the Friday concert is not going ahead due to lack of volunteers, but we would like to thank the people that did offer their services.”
