LOCAL 2385 (Melksham) ATC Squadron is looking for additional adult volunteers. Due to recent expansion in their numbers, the squadron is actively recruiting adult volunteers to assist in the delivery of their syllabus.
The squadron says, “Are you looking to help inspire the next generation? Looking for fun, adventure, incredible experiences and making new friends? Looking for something to give you the edge in life? Then welcome to life as an Adult Volunteer with the RAF Air Cadets.
“Adult staff are the back bone of the Air Training Corps. They can get involved in a wide range of activities, from being on a squadron committee, teaching cadets, running projects, adventure training, flying and gliding opportunities, to helping run squadrons and being chaplains.
“All adult staff roles are voluntary but there are lots of opportunities for staff to gain experience, get qualifications, build confidence and be part of a large team who all look after each other.
“There is no minimum time commitment – we parade two evenings a week and offer weekend activities so any time you can offer; be it two hours a month at one of our parade evenings or more, any time will make a difference.
“If you are interested in volunteering as an adult staff member please contact the commanding officer at oc.2385@aircadets.org.
“If you are aged 12-18 and would like to join as an air cadet, email the commanding officer at the above for further information.”
