ALAN Carr, star of Channel 4’s Chatty Man, will be coming to Melksham to try out new material at a sold-out gig at the Assembly Hall.
The TV funny man has joined the list of illustrious names to have appeared in Melksham in recent years with Lee Evans and Jethro appearing recently.
Alan Carr will appear on stage on Sunday 9th November as part of his preparations for a forthcoming UK tour called Yap, Yap, Yap! He will be working from notes to a capacity audience after tickets were snapped up quickly.
People queued outside the Assembly Hall from the early hours of Sunday 26th October to ensure they got a seat to the event which eventually sold-out within 24 hours.
Miriam Zaccarelli from Melksham Town Council said, “It is great that these big names want to come to Melksham time and time again, it shows how much the town is moving forwards.
“We decided to put the tickets on sale on a Sunday to give as many people as possible an opportunity to get one and people were outside queuing from the early hours. I am sure it will be a great show and another night for Melksham to remember.”
