FREE introductory coaching sessions are available for pickleball players of all ages, both new and improving.
The session is being hosted by Holt Sports & Recreation Committee, in partnership with Richard Thoms, regional director of Pickleball England.
Explaining what pickleball is, the committee says, “Pickleball is a fun multi-generational sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Invented in the USA in 1965, it is now one of the fastest growing sports in the world.
It is played both indoors or outdoors, on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood, or composite materials, to hit a perforated polymer ball, over a net.”
Equipment will be provided at the event on Sunday 12th June at the small court in Holt Playing Field. Come along at any time between 12pm and 4pm.
