What could be better whilst drinking a cup of coffee when it is also accompanied by the work of a range of local artists displayed on the walls of the Art House Café in Melksham Market Place?
You might even end up purchasing one of the works to adorn your walls! At the same time you are adding to Rotary profits which are all for the benefit of the local community.
Rotary are fortunate that Pattie Lockett does all the negotiations with the artists and ensures that, once a month, a really lively and colourful collection of their work is on display in the cafe. Pattie aims for a different range of exhibitors each month and here is the collection for the next few months: September: David Hiscocks (portraiture), Michael Wilson (landscape/portraiture), JohnDuckett (watercolours), Lauren Ayres (oils). October: Jeff Gray (acrylics), Mike Gorringe (oils), Kay and Trevor Janes (mixed media). November: Dilys and Paul Fisher (enamels and watercolours). December: Val Coyne (pastels), Sue Renshaw (collage with buttons and beads), Philip Bonney and Angie Singh (still collecting information).
A rich and varied programme awaits you, so why not make sure you visit the Art House Café and see what is on display? You won’t regret it!
