Two local lads from Atworth, Josh Brain and Harry Davies-Ball, are undertaking the cycle ride of their lives during their university break.
They are currently cycling around the coast of France in aid of local charity, Wiltshire Mind. The pair departed at the beginning of the month on their 1,000-mile cycle ride – and will cycle 50-60 miles per day.
They are undertaking the cycle to raise awareness of mental health issues and to raise funds for self-funding local charity, Wiltshire Mind. So far they have raised over £660.
Wiltshire Mind’s CEO , Carolyn Beale said, “This is a wonderful example of how important young people feel it is to raise the profile of mental health, they are very much aware of the effects on friends and just want to help. I would urge people to support Josh and Harry’s efforts and donate via Just Giving www.justgiving .com/ fundraising/josh-and-ash-cycle-tour. We are a self-funding charity so every penny counts.
“Wiltshire Mind supports anyone in the community with mental health issues through their services; six peer support groups, two carers of those with mental health issues groups, an evening support group, 1-1 counselling for adults and young people, Polish counselling, their charity shop and they also provide training to businesses.”
