THE Atworth History Group has a full programme of speakers lined up for 2022.
Meetings resume on Monday 10th January with speaker John Salvat, talking about the history of Old Sarum and the building of Salisbury Cathedral.
The group says, “In February, David Dawson will be telling us about the Roman ‘Fates’ sculpture that was found in Calne, and in March we have David Ayling, a coin dealer, who will be looking at the history of Atworth through coinage.
“We meet on the first Monday of the month (unless there’s a bank holiday, in which case it’ll be the second) in Atworth Village Hall at 7.30pm. Visitors are very welcome at the modest cost of £5 for the evening. Please look out for regular updates as we move into next year.”
