A LOCAL children’s author recently donated copies of three of her latest books to Melksham Library, as she celebrates successful sales worldwide.
Sarah Hill, from Seend Cleeve, donated the fifth, sixth and seventh books in her ‘Whimsy Wood’ series, which document the adventures of her main character Posie Pixie.
Sarah said, “I absolutely love libraries and remember spending many afternoons in them as a child, reading all sorts of stories.
“Then as a student, I frequented the vast and fantastically historic student library at Bristol University.
“Libraries are open to everyone, whatever your age or background and it doesn’t cost you a penny to loan a book. The local libraries already have copies of my first four ‘Whimsy Wood’ books, so I donated copies of the following three for children and parents to enjoy.
“I’m delighted to say that the series is selling brilliantly worldwide, and my publisher is releasing hardback copies of books one to seven.”
Sarah’s next book, ‘Fearne Fairy And The Dandelion Clocks’, will be released in next spring.
