The autumn season of fortnightly recitals at the Rachel Fowler Centre begins on Thursday 15th September with the folk group ‘Sloejam’.
Organiser Lesley Windebank said, “This lively band of musicians comes from all over Wiltshire and plays an entertaining variety of songs.
“On the 29th September the recitalists will be ‘La Viva Voce’, a soprano and contralto from Melksham Choral Society. They have not been singing together very long but are quickly increasing their repertoire of duets and solo items.
“The recitals continue on alternate Thursdays until mid-December. They begin at 12.30pm and last 45 minutes or so. Light refreshments are available from noon. There is no charge but donations towards the upkeep of the Rachel Fowler Centre are very welcome.”
