Barbecue raises over £1,000 for air force charity

MELKSHAM’S Royal Air Force Association (RAFA) raised over £1,000 at its annual fundraising barbecue last month.

The event was hosted by local fundraisers Sue and Tony Horton.

Sue said, “We raised a grand total of £1,020 for our Wings appeal, and we would like to thank Rolf and Lorna Halstead and Carl and Donna Jackson for the use of their gardens.

“Thanks also to Will Beaven Butchers, Sultan Indian Restaurant, Moles Brewery, Artisan, West Country Jewellers, Andy York, Wiltshire Framing, Cobblers Bench, CASA, and all our friends and fellow RAFA members; we could not hold this event every year without their support.”
