Blenheim House is proud to support the reopening of local youth club Young Melksham this week and donated several items of furniture, a karaoke machine and a brand new barbecue – ahead of what will be a fruitful partnership for the two organisations.
Chair of Young Melksham, Jon Hubbard said, “We are really excited about working in partnership with Blenheim. One of the projects we are really looking forward to is our young people taking part in tea parties for some really good inter-generational work- sharing memories, sharing experiences and the opportunity to pass on some of life’s lessons.”
Lifestyle and events manager, Chris Guest echoed Jon Hubbard saying, “A partnership between our two organisations forges relationships with families and changes the perception of a care home from a young person’s perspective. Blenheim House is a really engaging home for our residents and it will be great to see a variety of ages coming together. We have some great ideas for the future, from art classes and gardening projects, it’s a very exciting time to be part of the Melksham community.”
