MELKSHAM Assembly Hall has another great line up of films fresh from the cinema, with something for all movie tastes.
The next cinema screenings are: Robinson Crusoe (PG) on Saturday 30th July at 10.30am, Angry Birds Moving (PG) on Saturday 6th August at 10.30am and Alice Through the Looking Glass (PG) on Saturday 13th August at 10.30am.
Robinson Crusoe (PG): On a tiny exotic island, Tuesday, an outgoing parrot, lives with his quirky animal friends in paradise.
After a violent storm, Tuesday and his friends wake up to find a strange creature on the beach: Robinson Crusoe. Slowly but surely, they all start living together in harmony, until one day, when their comfortable life is overturned by two savage cats.
A battle ensues between the cats and the group of friends but Crusoe and the animals soon discover the true power of friendship up against all odds (even savage cats).
Angry Birds the Movie (PG): Flightless birds lead a mostly happy existence, except for Red (Jason Sudeikis), who just can’t get past the daily annoyances of life. His temperament leads him to anger management class, where he meets fellow misfits Chuck (Josh Gad) and Bomb.
Red becomes even more agitated when his feathered brethren welcome green pigs to their island paradise. As the swine begin to get under his skin, Red joins forces with Chuck and Bomb to investigate the real reason behind their mysterious arrival.
Alice Through the Looking Glass (PG): After slipping through a mirror, Alice (Mia Wasikowska) finds herself back in Underland with the White Queen (Anne Hathaway), the Cheshire Cat, the White Rabbit, Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Her friends tell her that the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) is in a funk over the loss of his family.
Hoping to save his loved ones, Alice steals the Chronosphere from Time (Sacha Baron Cohen) to travel into the past. While there, she encounters the younger Hatter and the evil Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter).
Tickets: Adults £6/£4, children £3. For more information about any of the above dates or to book tickets, visit the Assembly Hall in the Market Place or call 01225 709887.
