Planning for this year’s Melksham Food and River Festival has got off to a flying start when bookings were launched for stalls on 1st January.
Chair of the festival Adrienne Westbrook said, “We have had an amazing start to this year’s Festival launch email, with the first booking just two minutes after they were sent.
“To date 33 bookings have been received, including one from our first new sponsor Ten Hides, who will be moving their gin distillery premises to Melksham in the next few weeks.
“Ongoing discussions are taking place with some other local craft brewing companies to run the Festival Bar at the event.”
The popular Festival takes place over the weekend of Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd of September at Melksham’s premier park, the King George V Playing Fields. It will be free to attend for the public.
A full range of entertainment both on the field and on the river will be in place.
The festival committee will be starting their regular monthly meeting in February. Anyone interested in helping plan the festival is welcome to join.
Adrienne said, “We meet at the Market Tavern and you are assured of a very warm welcome. If you want to attend, please contact me on 07595 420021.
“Interested stallholders can book by emailing info@melkshamfoodandriverfestival.co.uk for the link to the digital booking form.”
