BELLE of the Ball Bridals has been revealed as the winner of the Best Christmas Shop Window Display competition.
Judged by Melksham Town Council, the bridal shop faced stiff competition from other local businesses, but in the end the judges were won over by their nativity-themed display.
Mayor of Melksham, cllr Adrienne Westbrook said, “I love their traditional design, it’s simple, but effective. It evokes the true meaning of Christmas. I think it’s very clever how they incorporated one of their bridal gowns into the display.”
Accepting the award on behalf of the shop was manager Sharon Wright who said, “It’s fantastic to win, we all had our fingers crossed that we would. We all worked really hard on the design. This is our second win, we won for the first time in 2015. We’ll be going for our third win next year!”
In second place was charity shop Harmony and Petstown finished in third place.
Receiving a highly commended were Glow, Tile & Bathroom Centre, Hairtek, DJ Bewleys, Co-op Funeralcare, Cobblers Bench, Kingstons and Emporium.
