THE host of Melksham Comic-Con’s next fundraising event has sent the people of Melksham a personal letter.
It reads, “Dear residents of Melksham. I am very much looking forward to joining you at your very special benefit on 2nd April. The arts are a personal interest of mine, and The Wayne Foundation prides itself on advancing medical care and access wherever possible. Being able to support both causes in one evening was an opportunity I simply could not refuse.
“The Bath Royal United Hospital has an impressive neo-natal care facility, but there is always more that can be done to enhance the quality and availability of equipment and help for the staff, patients, and their families who go through a whole range of experiences and emotions during their journey within the unit.
“Melksham Comic-Con, while it may be of less importance than neo-natal care, still plays a very important role within the Melksham community for a number of reasons. Enhancing access to the arts, encouraging literacy and inspiring creativity is something not to be ignored, but celebrated and supported. The work that their volunteers have put in over the years is impressive and I for one, am pleased to see such dedication in a small town setting.
“I hope you will all be able to join me in supporting these two fantastic causes. Please be sure to purchase your tickets in advance. With warmest regards, Bruce Wayne”
An Evening with Bruce Wayne takes place on Saturday 2nd April at Melksham Assembly Hall. Doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets are on sale now from KomiX at £20 each. You can buy in store, or by emailing melkshamcomiccon7@gmail.com to purchase online.
