THE Cricketers Cafe, next to the splashpad and new park area in King George V park, has announced its planned closure from 6th September.
The cafe, which was housed in the park’s pavilion, had previously reduced its opening to weekends and school holidays due to lack of footfall. Melksham Town Council had asked local people to support the business.
However, now the cafe has taken the decision to close, the town council said, “Despite their best efforts, the cafe has not proved to be viable. The town council wishes Craig and Solance every success for the future. In the meantime, please continue to support them!
“The town council will review opportunities for the café over the winter.”
