This month’s museum display in the town hall is carnival-themed, celebrating Melksham Carnival.
On display are photos and items from the first carnival, which took place 115 years ago, through to modern-day carnival queen memorabilia.
Also featured is a carnival-related news story from the 1960s edition of Melksham’s first newspaper, the Melksham Mercury.
In a photo supplied by the Melksham and District Historical Association, two children can be seen fundraising at the 1955 carnival for a lido, which later became the Blue Pool.
