One Voice Community Choir, based in Melksham, will soon be presenting its latest offering, with Carpenters: a Golden Celebration.
This performance is in honour of Richard & Karen Carpenter, who signed their recording contract with A&M Records 50 years ago, in April 1969.
The choir will be joined by members of One Voice in North Bradley, the two groups coming together to create a majestic sound for this special occasion. The audience will get to hear some original Carpenter compositions, including “Top of the World”, “Goodbye to Love” and their biggest worldwide hit, “Yesterday Once More.” Also featured will be several lesser-known pieces, in order to represent each of the studio albums.
Carpenters: a Golden Celebration is at Selwyn Hall, Box on Sunday 30th June at 7pm. Tickets from choir members or call Lee on 07766 244321. £8 to include refreshments.
