Staff at Leekes in Melksham have shown their commitment to the community by donating a cheque for £1,000 to Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
Members of Wiltshire Air Ambulance were invited to the store to receive the donation raised by staff and customers over the Christmas period.
The family-owned home department store reported a strong performance over Christmas and the new year. The retail business saw an overall 20% increase in visitor numbers across its five department stores and websites.
Matt Gelder, manager of Leekes, Melksham said, “As a family-owned business we are dedicated to helping the local community as our loyal customers have helped us grow from a small store to a big name in the home department store arena. Charities are of course a big part of this and we try to fundraise whenever we can.
“We are thrilled to present this cheque to such a worthy cause and hope it will go a long way for the charity.”
