Tickets are now on sale for a special charity concert featuring the Warminster Military Wives Choir who will be appearing at Melksham’s Assembly Hall on Sunday 21st June.
The concert, promoted by Melksham Music Festival and sponsored by Co-operative Funeralcare, Melksham, will see proceeds raised going to Dorothy House Hospice at Winsley, and to The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
Also appearing will be musical theatre performer Leonie Macaslin who has just recently completed a very successful run at Frome’s Memorial Theatre with a production of “Hairspray”. Leonie, from Melksham, graduated in musical theatre from London’s Mountview Academy of Performing Arts.
Melksham Ukulele Social Club, a relatively new and up and coming ukulele band, will complete the bill for the evening.
Members of the Warminster Military Wives Choir have performed in many high profile events with Gareth Malone’s Military Wives Choir including the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace.
Melksham Music Festival spokesperson, Tom Sangster, said they were absolutely delighted to get the services of the very popular choir and extremely pleased and grateful for the sponsorship support of Co-operative Funeralcare.
