THREE youth workers from Wiltshire Youth for Christ charity completed a 100km walk, raising £4,500 for charity.
Youth workers Steve Dewar, who lives in Seend, Dan Webb and James Vaughton, walked from Malmesbury Abbey to Salisbury Cathedral last month.
Over two days the route took in Castle Combe, Bradford on Avon, the Kennett and Avon Canal towards Devizes and then turned south towards Market Lavington. There was also an overnight stay in Melksham where the trio were welcomed by a local couple for the night.
Steve said, “Thank you to everyone who sponsored and encouraged the team, helping us to raise £4,500 for Wiltshire Youth for Christ’s work among young people. Projects include pop up youth café, youth clubs, mentoring, discussion group and community activities.
“If you would like to sponsor us you can do so at www.give.net/walkwiltshire2018 or to find out more about the work of Wiltshire Youth for Christ go to www. wiltshireyfc.org.uk.”
